Unit 13 saturday 18th

What a great day for a skate, sun splitting the stones and all that so we decided to head indoors to unit 13 in Belfast! This was arranged before we knew about the weather and it was Neil's first trip to the park. We skated 'till the old legs and lungs let us know we were at our limit - probably about an hour, but an hour well spent none the less. Lets do this again soon and hopefully we will have Scott back as well.

Here is a couple of pics of the current set up at unit 13. As you can see they didnt bowl out the end of the bigger mini but it is great being longer than before. There are two minis of different sizes now and spines a pump bump and a nice big quarter. A lot more flow than before. Click on the pics for a closer look. When can we expect a visit?

Just an update from north of the border. Today I went to unit13 to check on progress in the park and a GENTLE roll around to try and sort out my gammy knee. The guys have worked wonders in a week and have the small mini with spine, bank, roll in and extension finished.The bigger mini is nearly done and will have a bowled end added. The big quarter is finished, this leads to a volcano/bank and on to a large wall ride leading into the bowled mini. Hopefully next week will see all the ramps finished, its gonna be the best layout yet with lots of flow and ramps from abot 3 foot to the big wall ride maybe 10 foot.Check the pics or check on http://www.bogginzine.com/ for a virtual tour.Also some more good news - the concept bowl in the city centre is open again.

Well i got a chance to hit Bushy today and it was fun. The only thing was that there where no other skaters over the age of 14 there so i had a few rolls around, tried a few new line and just bombed around the place but it was fun. I'm looking forward to next Sunday with any lick there will be a few more of us.

We i'm starting to feel the love that comes with being a TV celbrity. A nice lady up the road stopped us on the way to school to say " i saw you on telly you looked great"( i meen what do you say to that, er thanks) Did you all get a chance to see it yet?
Well i'm sick of working all the time so it's got to be time to hit Bushy this Sunday even for an hour. Still real word on how Eamons knee is doing, with any luck we'll see him ripping soon.

There are a few trick that you would give your hind teeth to be able to do and backslides like this dude is one of them.So smooth and sweet man that's a trick anyone would love to see new or old school skater.Its a time less trick and to have what looks like a back yard bowl like that man they must have sold there souls to the Devil.(whats his number we should give him a call)(and i know its 666 it a rhetorical question)

"It's Been two day and still no word"

Sorry but the 4th of July must be the worst week possible at work so we have been forced to miss a couple of days.So its the same old story of get down to Bushy (not Graystones after the last run in we had with Fight Club) this Sunday for a bit of a skate. Its a shame it started to rain last time because the place was almost empty.So with any luck we'll have the same this weekend. Does any one know of an in-door park being built ??

Well the weather gods look like they might let us have a skate tomorrow after all. So we're planning to meet at Bushy around 11am then hit the road for Graystones of a quickie then back to Bushy to finish the day.

Well its we finally finished the spot for Nation Wide yesterday so fingers crossed we wont all look like a bunch of old fools. Kenny and Claire where great, very different kind of skating to have to do a certain trick on a particular piece of the ramp, but fun.The only problem was that you need a group of us skating to get a bit of a session going to get you at your best but still fun.
so the count down to next Sunday. We are thinking of hitting Graystones again then Bushy anyone interested drop us a line and we'll meet up.

Well today was a blast!! We had a great morning at Bushy. There where only a hand fool of kids there so lots of runs for us.We even met another old dude from Venezuela called Gutar who's only just getting back on is deck after about a 10 year break, he's only back skating a month but he's still got some moves, and Neil is starting to get some lines going which is great to see him doing so well after a 6 month break.We missed Eamon today but with that long drive down from the north we cant except to see him every second Sunday. I think we are going to have to plan a road trip up the north to skate the indoor park with him soon.Also today we skated with some little grom who's only 6 but could drop in no problem scary to watch man our hearts stop for a few second the first time he rolled up and dropped in.

it's been a hard long week and now that the weekend if hear its time for a skate and we can't wait any longer. Every second weekend is too long to go without a skate.But on the news tonight the weather is not looking so good for Sunday but all the gang here at old dogs old tricks have there fingers crossed. We has a trip to G1 today and it was missing most of it decks off the walls,there must of had a sale on and we missed it!! but thank god they still had a few old school Powells in stock.

It's Monday and Sunday is a long time away for a skate but what can you do. So we're going to have to make it a good session so get your ass down to Bushy for a blast of the bowl and talk a little old school nonsense, and with that in mind it time to find some good "how to skate old school" vids on you tube so if you find any pass them on and we'll post the best one's
