Man what a great idea this looks like so much fun, who would come up with an idea like this and fairplay for having the dedication to go through with it. It must of been 6 hours blowing the them up 1-2 hour riding the bowl then another 4 hour picking the dead balloons up. But we would love it.

If anyone is up for it this Sunday we might try and get a quickie in at Bushy for an hour or so if the weather permits? With any luck we can hit the park for 11 and be done by 1230 if anyone is game?

Ever since he turned his hand to bowl and park riding he's gone from strength to strength, he flows from trick to trick. man we love to watch him skate.

But the real problem we're having is the weather, we where hoping to meet up with Eamon this week for a test the new deck but the weather report is for rain, rain and more rain. So it very hard for Eamon to drive all the way down to Bushy just to be rained on. So with any luck the weather will improve and we can take the new decks for a spin.

The one new thing to day was that we went for a cruise down Phoenix park today for what must be the first time in about 20 years and man we had fun. Just put some tunes on the MP3 player and hit the cycle track , do a few manuals, pop an Ollie or too and even do a few power slides. But at some point you have to ask your self way are they all starring at us are we really that old.

" Man that's the biggest deck I've ever seen"

Its like everyone has a new deck these days, first Eamon and now Scott and its a big one. Eamon the buddy that he is pick him up a monster when he was over on holiday. What a guy. It's a Santa Monica Airlines Big Roller 33.25"x10.5" with a huge set of independents, new crooks rails, huge 1/2 inch risers and we think for once he has finally agreed to loosen his trucks. Man it was as if he welded the thing together. So with any luck we'll see him carving around Bushy this week.

" Man that's a nice new deck" Eamons back and we finally got a chance to head up to see him in Belfast and see his lovely new setup he got got in Santa Monica. Its a little old school with a new school twist if you get the gist. It a nice deck long but quite narrow but he's still ripping away on it. We hit the project 13 skate park just out side of Belfast today and we must say it was a blast. They have moved the ramps around and added a few new one's like a new mini that fall away to a 3-4 foot drop on one side that Eamon nearly killed him self on when he popped out of a 50-50 and almost got skulled, made one of the driveways little easier to us by adding a large bank to roll in on, and a few other changes. Go and try it for your self's, well worth the trip. The place has a lot more flow that it did when it opened but it was great to be able to try new thing on the lovely wood rather than the harsh concrete of Bushy.

I think YouTube hates us. Nothing is working for us anymore, we use to be able to post vids from YouTube straight to the blog but for some reason it wont work. After going and finding some great vids too. So we'll just have to post the http:// and you'll just have to looking for it on YouTube yourself sorry.

We stand corrected its Project 13 not unit 13 our mistake. But that said we're looking forward to hitting some wooden ramps this Sunday and skateing with our skate buddy Eamon, it is going to be great. Time to try a few trick that we've been tempted to try for a few weeks now. But that's the danger of watching how to and trick tips on youtube, its always the same "just learn fakie olies and fakie 360 kickturns put them together and there you are Caballero " easy a pie!!! its a bit like learning to paint " just pick up brush, dip into paint and spread on to canvas" and there you go the mona lisa. Who do they think there kidding. But what the hell worth a try.

Well it looks like we are heading up to Belfast this weekend to have a skate on wood with Eamon cant wait. We are going to Unit 13, we haven't been there for a few months now and they say its been moved around to give the park some flow. So we're looking forward to seeing it on Sunday. So we'll take some pics as always and will post them with any luck on Sunday night.

The parks are totally out of our league but man what fun we'd have.I think We are all going to have to save our Penny's and do it and when we get there the smallest of the kids would blow us away leaving us looking like cavemen but what the hell. We where just looking at a site Eamon sent us boggin - more shite talk - IRISH SKATE NEWS pardon the french but it has pics of what looks like a very cool bowl with a spine which is being built in the North and we cant wait to get our wheels on it. It also has info. on a Super bank and bowl challenge 08 which is on the 2nd of August at Graystones Skatepark. Looks fun anyone fancy checking it out?

Well today turned out great.After us saying we where going to have to wait till next Sunday to hit Bushy we where lucky enough to get a few hour today after all.The sun even mad a guest appearance.But the best part of it was seeing Neil drop in on the middle section of the bowl for the first time at Bushy and he's starting to think about carving.Hats of to him after being out of it for so ling and then only just starting again he's doing great.Keep up the good work.We also had the pleasure of skating with Tom who is still nursing a fractured wrist,john and Rog.Its great to see how local old dudes rip around the park.But there must of been a bus load of BMX from the north turned up and the place got very busy very quickly.The one thing that was odd was that the helmet rule was inforced to day for the first time in a long time.

Blunts ....Danny Way makes blunts look easy .Part of the problem is that trying it in Bushy is a far cry from on a nice wooden mini ramp in your back garden.But its on our list of tricks to try .With any luck our buddy Eamon will be back from America next Sunday and it will be all go for Bushy. The Lucky sucker is heading for the Vans Bowl and he's hit the shops over there and got a new setup cant wait to see it.

There are a few trick that you would give your hind teeth to be able to do and backslides like this dude is one of them.So smooth and sweet man that's a trick anyone would love to see new or old school skater.Its a time less trick and to have what looks like a back yard bowl like that man they must have sold there souls to the Devil.(whats his number we should give him a call)(and i know its 666 it a rhetorical question)

The Solvang skate park looks like a carvers Paradise.It must be great to skate a park with some much flow and an endless amount of lines.Try the links we have posted on the site. Two of them are for groups for older skaters in America and the UK witch are very good. Old Man Army is a great forum with lots of vids and pics posted.They also hold regular skate jams throughout the year well worth a trip.We'd love to post any pics or comments anyone has so drop us a line and we'll see if we can post them.

Well Sunday has come and gone and that make us sad, another two weeks until our next group outing, that's too long to wait we'll have to try and sneak out before than.The sun split the heaven but from 11 till 12 Bushy was dead, not a soul in the place witch is weird but thanks to two BMX'ers from up north we had someone to hang with.So that meant lots of carve time for us.SO fingers crossed the weather will hold and we'll get a sneaky one later in the week.

"It's Been two day and still no word"

Sorry but the 4th of July must be the worst week possible at work so we have been forced to miss a couple of days.So its the same old story of get down to Bushy (not Graystones after the last run in we had with Fight Club) this Sunday for a bit of a skate. Its a shame it started to rain last time because the place was almost empty.So with any luck we'll have the same this weekend. Does any one know of an in-door park being built ??

Good new Edd will live to shred another day.
